A training program for Catholic spiritual directors
Road to Emmaus is a Christ-Centered, two-year program, rooted in Catholic theology, to provide the knowledge, skills, and supervision for individuals seeking to offer spiritual direction.

Responding to the growing need for dedicated Catholics to guide, support, and accompany the followers of Christ who desire a closer relationship with God
Open to all adult Catholics, this is a primarily *online program with three yearly three-day retreats for in person learning
*Online learning does not mean scheduled Zoom classes. It consists of reading assignments and submitting reflection papers via email to the instructor
Those who complete the program will be able to:
*Engage in spiritual direction with compassion and respect
*Utilize the knowledge and skills required to exhibit a vibrant Catholic spiritual director identity
*Employ basic human development skills and theological reasoning
*Develop a safe and trusting relationship for deep, personal sharing
Criteria
*Must be a practicing Catholic
*Must provide a letter of recommendation from their priest
*Must be able to attend the yearly 3-day retreat
